Where do you find opportunity today? As I wrote about yesterday, my belief is that the opportunity for people today is not in the college system but in each persons desire to do something special with their life. Granted, most people do not have that drive and are happy to work for someone else and be told how they can live their life. If this is you then Great! It takes all kinds to make the world operate. But for those who do not want that kind of life and are willing to put forth the effort then there are many avenues for them to be in control of their lives. If you were given the knowledge that there were other options for your career path where you could spend $20,000-$200,000 and not be guaranteed of a job or spend less than $2000 and have your own business that you could start part-time and build, which option would you chose? Having your own home business, at least in the United States gives you so many tax deductions it is incredible! http://www.irs.gov/Businesses/Small-Businesses-&-Self-Employed/Deducting-Business-Expenses Do you think Warren Buffett, Donald Trump, and Robert Kiyosaki might have some insight in to how to make money and what would be a good way to do that? http://7million7years.com/2008/04/05/why-did-warren-buffet-buy-half-dozen-mlm-companies-last-year/ All I’m trying to say is there are many more ways to make money than are presented to most people. If you don’t have a home based business, GET ONE! Find something you enjoy doing but always remember what Mr. Buffett had to say about that! Just remember! “It’s Easy! It’s Simple! It’s Coffee!”

Today you hear so many stories of kids that go to college for four years, graduate with a degree and then are working for minimum wage trying to pay back their loans. While I believe there are some professions that you need a degree in to have the job ie:doctor, lawyer, engineer most people work where they can find it. A lot of jobs do the training on the job so having a degree sometimes is not that important! I looked up the Forbes richest people in the world list and I was amazed at what I learned about the education level of the richest men! What I found was five had a college degree of some sort, two dropped out of college, one dropped out of high school, and 2 have no education listed. They all have in common that they have their own businesses if not more than one.
There was an example given about an opportunity. To get this opportunity you had to pay between $20,000-$200,000 to possibly get it. The opportunity was not a guarantee. You could be provided with loans and grants to help you seek this opportunity. When you were done with your “training” you now had the ability to go up against everyone else for the few positions available. If you were chosen you were sent to training for a time to do things the way they wanted you to do it. You have very little chance of reaching the highest level in the company and you will always do what you are told.
Does this sound like an opportunity? I think not! It sounds more to me like enslavement to someone or something. Think about it! Is there something else you can better do with your time that will provide better for you and your family?
Until next time remember, “It’s Easy! It’s Simple! It’s Coffee!”

1.the position or function of a leader, a person who guides or directs a group
2.ability to lead
3.an act or instance of leading; guidance; direction
4.the leaders of a group.
Leadership shows the way! I am hearing more today from different people about the lack of leadership in organizations they have joined. When you get a new job, most of the time someone is assigned to you or you are put with others to learn about how that particular company works and expects it’s employees to work and act. This should be the same in any home based business that we are a part of. I am speaking to myself as much as I am speaking to anyone else. If any of this rings a bell with you then take the time to learn from it.
I am hearing so many stories from people who were recruited into a company and were then left on their own to learn the business. I am finding it is my responsibility to take each person and mentor them until they can stand on their own and mentor others. I do understand some are faster than others at catching on to things, but as they have made a commitment to us to join our teams, then we should make that commitment to help them. Building relationships is a very important part of any home based business. I believe that until you are large enough to travel to different cities to spend the time needed to mentor someone, then use should stay in your local area and build there. I have caught myself wanting to build everywhere but have lost the ability to build locally because my time has been diverted. The internet is wonderful but unless you get a self starter and self motivated person you are wasting your time and putting a sour taste in the mouth of the one you recruited.
When I look at the example set in the bible, Jesus “recruited” his 12 disciples and took the time to train them. He helped them through the hard times and showed them how to handle different situations. I for one am learning the it is better to invest your time in a few than it is to recruit as many as you can for your own promotion and lose out in the long run. When you don’t invest in the people you have I have found you will be constantly building because most will not stay.
Take the time to invest in those who have invested in you! When you do that I believe you will have a strong organization that will continue to grow no matter what. Remember! It is up to you to set the tone and direction of your group!

I think this sums up my wife very well! She was going to work Monday and Tuesday, have Wednesday off and then surgery Thursday. If you do not know her she is very driven and likes to have everything done a certain way! This is one of the ways we are opposite. Not in the extreme sense but I am more relaxed about things. She has helped me to see how things can operate more smoothly when things are planned out. I agree some things should be planned but not all things.
Being that she likes to have things done in a certain way is shown by the list of things she would like to have accomplished before her surgery. Please bear in mind that this is not a new list, but one that I have been putting off for a while. Now it is time for me to honor her and do what she has patiently asked for. Many things were accomplished today and there are many things to do tomorrow.
Back to her work. This weekend she came down with a cold that gave her a sore throat and aches. She will always go in to work no matter how she feels. She is a pharmacist and will always do for others before she will take care of herself. Luckily the person in charge of scheduling is a friend of ours so I text her to let her know what was going on. She came home early today and does not have to work tomorrow. Thank you Jesus!
She needs her rest and energy before the surgery. Now she will have 2 days of rest. We talked about how sometimes it is hard for us to accept help from others when we are so use to being the ones to give. We are realizing that by doing that we are keeping others from getting the blessings God has for them by giving to us. God is showing us many things through this. Sometimes the path looks hard, sometimes it looks like it goes nowhere but we know God will use all these things and because of this we have peace. Tomorrow I’ll let you know how Tuesday went. Thank you for your prayers and May God Bless!

This week will be a tough week interspersed with some happiness for our family. The first part of our week will slowly build to the crescendo on Thursday. Monday and Tuesday are more the norm. Wednesday is our sons birthday so that will be the highlight of the week. Thursday hits hard with my wife going in for a mastectomy. This is where the tough hits the road. Having 4 boys and one daughter can give great concern as to how each are handling things. When you think all is well you find out that they aren’t. Not knowing how to handle things can cause some to act as though they are not really happening. Others can realize they are and continue to go on trying not to “rock the boat” but in the mean time they are hurting very deeply inside. When you know your mom is going to be in surgery for 7-8 hours and there is nothing you can do you feel very helpless. One thing that has helped us tremendously during this time is our Faith in God! We know He has a bigger plan for our lives than we will ever know and for that we can rest in Him! I know we all have our struggles, and my reason for sharing is not for pity or desire for people to do for us, but to acknowledge that there are things in our lives that we need to share with one another so we can lift up each other in prayer. The bible says Pride goes before the fall, and I believe sometimes we are too prideful to share what we feel because we want to be and show we are strong. The bible also says in OUR weakness HE is made strong! His strength can carry us through anything! Don’t be afraid to share! For it is through sharing we can be Blessed by those God wants to use to Bless us. May God give you the strength you need to go through the tough times!

Herbal supplements and alternative medicine are commonly used as a means to lose weight. The reishi mushroom, or ganoderma herb, is an example of such an herbal supplement. This supplement is available for purchase in most supermarkets or health food stores in the form of pills, powders, or liquid extract. Speak to your doctor for more information on the benefits and/or risk factors of using ganoderma.
History

According to MushroomExpert.com, ganoderma lucidum derives from Asian cultures and is red, bright yellow, and white in color. This fungus can differ in size and usually develops in heavily-wooded areas. There are many different species of ganoderma mushrooms, including the parasitic fungus Ganoderma tsugae, which is nearly identical in appearance to the lucidum species. As an herbal supplement, ganoderma has been traditionally used for a variety of different medical treatments, including weight loss.
Metabolism

According to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, ganoderma contains active ingredients that can increase your metabolic rate after consumption. As your metabolism increases, your body uses more energy to digest food more efficiently. This energy is fueled by breaking down fat deposits and calories in your body, which can then lead to weight loss. Ganoderma increases the rate in which your body provides oxygen to your blood, which allows your body to exert additional energy.
Polysaccharides

Ganoderma supplements also contain polysaccharides which can serve as a strong detoxifying agent in your body according to the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, . In addition, polysaccharides strengthen your body’s natural healing ability while also assisting with digestion. According to MayoClinic.com, an improved digestive system may lead to more efficient waste excretion and thus increased weight loss. Further research is needed to substantiate claims of weight loss associated with detoxifying agents, however.
Considerations

Consuming herbal supplements alone may not provide you the weight loss results you desire. Your doctor or nutritionist may also recommend additional weight loss techniques, such as an exercise program or a nutritional diet plan in order to help you achieve your goal. Be sure to monitor your weight loss with the help of your doctor via regular physicals. You should not choose ganoderma supplements for weight loss if you have a known allergy to mushrooms.

Ganoderma lucidum is the botanical name for a mushroom more commonly known as lingzhi, which has been popular in Chinese medicine for over 2,000 years and is often called the “mushroom of immortality.” Now gaining recognition in the West, Ganoderma lucidum has become famous for a wide array of impressive, more believable medicinal properties.

Here are 10 health benefits of Ganoderma lucidum.

Cancer Prevention
It has been demonstrated that Ganoderma lucidum boosts immunity and fights the proliferation of cancer cells. Some laboratory studies have also shown Ganoderma lucidum may prevent cancer metastasis. The mechanisms by which the mushroom does this are as yet unknown and it seems they may target many different stages of cancer development. They may inhibit angiogenesis (the formation of blood vessels made to supply nutrients to the tumor), or perhaps they inhibit the migration of the cancer cells and metastasis. It is also thought that they work by inducing and enhancing apoptosis of tumor cells. In any case, Ganoderma lucidum extracts are already being used in some commercial pharmaceuticals to suppress cancer cell proliferation and migration. Studies on breast cancer cells have found that combining Ganoderma lucidum with green tea augments the mushroom’s power to retard the growth of cancer cells.

Immune System Support
Ganoderma lucidum may be useful in boosting the immune system. In studies on patients with advanced tumors, Ganoderma lucidum was prescribed for thirty days and the results found a significant positive effect on the immune system with an increase in T lymphocytes and decreased CD8 counts. Patients had fewer side effects from chemotherapy and radiation, and their post operative recovery was smoother. Research has also found that ganoderma lucidum, when used on a regular basis, increases antioxidant levels.

Cardiovascular Health
Ganoderma lucidum has been prescribed for centuries to people suffering from stress and angina. Studies in China found that Ganoderma lucidum promotes blood flow and lowers oxygen consumption in the muscle of the heart. Japanese scientists have made similar findings, and ascribe these benefits to a chain of acids belonging to triterpenes, a group of natural compounds known to reduce high blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and prevent blood clots. A Russian study also found that Ganoderma lucidum showed significant preventive abilities against plaque build-up on artery walls.

Antioxidants
Ganoderma lucidum is a potent source of antioxidants. The Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine says it contains one of the highest concentrations of antioxidants in any food. Polysaccharide, polysaccharide-peptide complex, and phenolic components of Ganoderma lucidum have all been proposed to be responsible for their antioxidant strength. However, research has shown that the Ganoderma lucidum peptide (GLP) is the major antioxidant component of the mushroom.

Liver Protection
Ganoderma lucidum is a favorite for use as a liver protectant. In one study of patients suffering from hepatitis B and elevated liver enzymes (SGOT/SGPT) and bilirubin, patients were given ganoderma lucidum for three months. Within a month, significant reduction in SGOT and SGPT were seen, and three months later all values were within a healthy range.

Antibacterial
Studies have reported that Ganoderma lucidum mushrooms may have antibacterial powers, with direct anti-microbial effects against the proceding organisms: Aspergillus niger, bacillus cereus, candida albicans, and E-coli.

Antiviral
Preliminary evidence suggests that Ganoderma lucidum may have antiviral benefits. It is reported to exhibit direct anti-viral effects with herpes simplex virus 1, herpes simplex virus 2, the influenza virus, and vesicular stomatitis.

Lower Cholesterol
Ganoderma lucidum mushrooms may help reduce cholesterol by causing the liver to suppress its production. Researchers at the Nestle Research Center in Switzerland called ganoderma lucidum “a renowned medicinal species”. In their study, oxygenated lanosterol derived from Ganoderma lucidum “inhibited cholesterol synthesis.”

Radiation Protection
Research indicates that ganoderma lucidum mushrooms augment the effects of radiation therapy while acting directly against the tumor. Investigation also reveals ganoderma lucidum helps to strengthen the immune system, to better manage radiation therapy and chemotherapy treatment and assists to improve the quality of life of the patient. It has also been found to ease symptoms of chemotherapy, such as nausea, vomiting, headaches, fever, infection, weight loss and hair loss.

Urinary Tract Support
In a 2008 study of 88 men with urinary tract symptoms, researchers found that ganoderma lucidum was significantly superior to placebo in providing symptom relief. As if that weren’t enough, ganoderma lucidum is said to inhibit 5-alpha reductase, an enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. This nasty predicament can lead to a swollen prostate and all the ills that go with it. According to a study published in the Asian Journal of Andrology, ganoderma lucidum demonstrates more 5-alpha-reductase inhibitory activity than many other medicinal mushrooms and improves urine flow in men with mild-to-moderate lower urinary tract symptoms.

To put a question to 2. To seek an answer to 3. To seek information about
4.a. To make a request of b. To make a request for 5. To require or call for as a price or condition 6. To expect or demand 7. To invite. Which one of these definitions best fits you? There are so many things available to us but we don’t take the time to ask for them. We can come up with so many excuses for why we will not be able to get what we want and yet we don’t even ask! How can people know how they can help if we don’t ask. I know that many times we stop others from receiving blessings because we don’t share our needs. When we let others know where we have needs then they can be met and both receive the blessing. Don’t be afraid to ask! You never know where the next blessing might come from!

On Wednesday March 13,2013 we found out my wife had breast cancer. We had been going back and forth to Houston since her normal checkup in January for biopsies and other tests. During this time we knew something was up we didn’t know the extent of it. The cancer she has is very slow growing and is treatable. For that we are very thankful. Surgery is scheduled for April 11,2013.
My reason for writing today is to express our heartfelt thanks for all the love and concern we have felt from our friends already. We have been overwhelmed from the calls, texts, and messages of support that we have received. We know that through this all God will use it for our good. I have been down this road before in my life and God sustained me through it. We know that He will do the same here.

We know the time ahead will bring out many emotions. We are trusting God for His shelter against the storm. We thank you for your prayers and look forward to what God will do through this situation. We in turn will pray for you and trust that God will bless you also. We have our rock in Him!
Job 23:14 So he will do to me whatever he has planned. He controls my destiny.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
